I progetti nella casa di Big Beyond cominciano a prendere forma.
Con Amy ci siamo recate stamattina alla Marafiki Nursery School dove abbiamo tenuto una sessione di story telling in inglese e rukiga con i bambini. Abbiamo disegnato con loro la storia di “The eagle and pumpkins.” usando le lavagne e fogli.
Qui i bambini amano i muzungu (i bianchi) e urlano HELLOOOOOOO non appena ti incontrano per strada. In cambio non vogliono nulla. Solo essere salutati!!!
Con Nick stiamo definendo anche un altro progetto che porterò avanti prossima settimana legato alla produzione locale di caffè nell’ottica del self-sustainable per le comunità locali.
In questa zona si coltivano le foglie di Arabica mentre il Robusta nelle terre più lontane.
Sarà una bella sfida!!!

Big Beyond’s projects are starting to take shape.
We went to the Marafiki Nursery School this morning with Amy, where we held a storytelling session in English and Rukiga language with children. We drew the story of “The Eagle and Pumpkins” with them, using paper and blackboard.
The children here love muzungu (white people) and scream HELLOOOOOOO the moment they see you down the street. They do not want anything in return. Just to be greeted!!!
We are also working on another project with Nick that I will carry on next week, regarding the local coffee production, in the self-sustainable way for the local communities.
This territory is famous for its Arabica leaves, while Robusta grows in the lands a bit more further from here.
This will be a great challenge!!!
